What Saves Us

There is only one way to get to heaven. And that is a person. Getting to know Christ is the beginning of that journey.

That we believe in Christ does not mean that we walk with the Lord. Going to church doesn´t make us God´s true children. Being good or obeying religious practices does not prove we follow Jesus. But humbling ourselves and seeking to engage with God will lead us in the right direction. Turning from our ways is essential. We must repent of all that keeps us from encountering the Lord. Then, it is time to work on that closeness that will distinguish who knows Him. The relationship we build with Christ day by day will show we chose God over all other ways. The ones who will enjoy the company of the Divine are those who learned to live inside His embrace. Let that be us!

Dear Lord, our walk with You is the one thing we want to invest in. Feed this growing bond and make it into something that overcomes us. Let us grow so close that we cannot live outside of Your presence. Make being with You the most pressing need of our day. We pray in Jesus´ name. Amen
