Those Dark Times

The Lord said He would never leave or forsake us. But many times, we are faced with sad and frightening times. There are many times when God´s presence is hidden from us. These are dark times indeed. But just because we cannot feel that presence doesn´t mean He isn´t there. Chances are, all we needed to do was turn to the Lord in earnest. Praying harder brings us more into contact with God. Praying more does too! If we fill up our pains with more intense calling on the Lord, He is always near. It may take some time for us to realize His presence. But when God lets us know without a doubt that He has never left us, we will see He has us in His hands. He always has! Our God is mighty. And He is mighty to save! Praise the Lord!

Dear Lord, when we are faced with sadness or pain, let us come to You. Draw us like moths to the flame. When we do, open our hearts to know You are near. Give us the shining proof that our souls need. Let us see how great Your love is and how close You are. When we wake up, we will realize that You have planned even for these trying times. Then walk with us wherever You would have us go. Be near, and remind us that You are here whenever we are down. Thank you for never leaving or forsaking us. We pray. Amen
