Faith Like David

David is famous for his faith in God. What is keeping us from being known for ours?

We read of great people of faith long ago. Their stories are so impressive that you want to praise God for His movement in their lives. But, like all things spiritual, the importance lies within our hearts. It has to do with us and God. If it ties us closer to Him in Spirit and in truth, then it finds its hidden purpose.

So, if we sense a twinge of envy or would like to be recognized for our walk with God, let´s go out and get it. Let us press closer, strive harder, and give more of ourselves in building that bond. The possibilities are endless for those who invest in their walk with God!

Dear Lord, take what little faith we have and increase it. Give us more desire after You as well. Let our humble investment bring great rewards in how close our relationship grows. In Jesus´ name, we pray. Amen

Growing closer to a person is an investment. Let us invest all we´ve got into our walk with God!

Luke 17:5 ESV / The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”

Mark 9:24 ESV / Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!”

Revelation 3:17 ESV / For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked.

1 Corinthians 2:5 ESV / So that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV / For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Colossians 2:6-7 ESV / 4 helpful votes

Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.
