Choose to Be Chosen

Some ask why we should go out of our way to seek the Lord. It is true that God seeks us, and we become His chosen ones. So, it sounds like the deal is done and there is nothing more to do. But it doesn´t work that way. What humans share with God is a relationship. In any relationship, we get more out of it when we put more into it. This happens with our Lord as well. God would never choose someone to spend eternity with who would not want to be there with Him. Our heavenly Father must see a quality deep within our hearts. He finds those rare souls that will burn and yearn for Him.

So, if anyone ever asks why we leave our comfort zones to go out in search of the Lord. Tell them it is because we don´t want to miss our Savior who is out there looking for us!

Dear Lord, let our hearts find You. As You seek souls who will love You back, prepare ours for that incredible union. Find our hearts open wide and swept clean of other distractions. Make a way for us to be with You. Thank You for searching for us. May we be blessed with sweet moments in Your presence, we pray. Amen
