Prepare for Wonder

The closer one comes to God, the more surprises we will find. The more we discover, the more we learn there is to discover. As awareness grows, so does a keen sense of our limitedness and the limitlessness of the Almighty. We will find ourselves bewildered, awed, and often terrified. No man can fathom such immensity and power. Yet, with all the incongruity, there is no place our souls will long to be but in God´s overwhelming presence. Just to be near Him and not be utterly consumed is a miracle. Oh, what a thrill, to be in the presence of the Divine!

Dear Lord, give us what our souls need. Give us awareness. Let us sense Your presence. Although we will realize how small and sinful we are, we come seeking You. Savior please hold us when we see how impossible it is that we can experience the presence of God and not die. Prepare us for the most thrilling adventure available to mankind. Make us ready to encounter You, our God. Amen, and amen!
