Led Astray

It is time to take the warnings to heart. Let us not be led astray. Draw near to the Savior while there is still time!

Everyone hears the warnings. But we all think that the message is for someone else. The warning to guard ourselves from false teaching is almost always meant for others. It does not apply to us. Or, at least we think it is.

Any message that puffs up man and his ways is dangerous. Any encouragement to step out without clinging to our Savior´s hand is misleading. The cunning efforts of the deceiver are aimed at those who believe, not those outside the fold. So let each one humble ourselves. Make it our mission today to edge closer to our Savior. Just because we have our faith, does not mean it isn´t under attack. Let us improve our walk with the Holy Spirit now. He sees and can lead us safely home!

Dear Lord, do not let us be tempted to sit back and relax. Too much is at stake. Pride in our choices or confidence in ourselves will not save us. Only You can lead us through the spiritual pitfalls and snares. Lead us ever closer. Guide us safely unto You! Be near us—nearer than before. And tomorrow, nearer still! Thank You for Your presence. Help us make this relationship important enough to us that we work on it with all our heart and soul. Amen

Matthew 24:1-51 ESV / Jesus left the temple and was going away, when his disciples came to point out to him the buildings of the temple. But he answered them, “You see all these, do you not? Truly, I say to you, there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.” As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” And Jesus answered them, “See that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray.
