The Next Encounter

A genuine encounter with God will burn away much of the frivolousness of religion. Pray that the next pending moment in His presence comes soon!

Humble worshippers who want to meet God can and should have their encounter. When we finally wake to the realization that we have been ushered before God, we will be repaid in full. Any time spent seeking that experience will be forgotten. We will understand then why we had to wait and what needed to be seen in our hearts. But why must we wait for something we desire so much?

Hearts that yearn for God are highly pleasing to Him. Yet wanting to experience God is not all that He sees. There are many areas of any believer´s faith that need growth. The Lord knows where each of us can improve our walk with Him. If we look to Him, and insist, He will lead us through—always closer to Him. So, the waiting game is not a passive experience. We can embrace it. We can work along with the Lord like diligent students who want to learn.

Dear Lord, as we wait for the next revelation of Your presence, let us work on our faith. Lead us through the steps that grow our relationship. Set our hearts on nothing short of Your presence. Then be glorified when we are able to revel in our strengthened bond, we pray. Amen
