Even our religion today is too concerned with the world we live in. Didn´t we listen to anything the Bible tried to teach us? We have refused to let go of this place to take our hold on the kingdom to come. But there may be time for some to see, turn, and seek a change of heart!
God never intended us to live out these lives here on earth with a religious tinge or slant. He wanted us to live our lives with Him. There needs to be a connection, a relationship. It cannot switch on for a moment in the morning or evening for a quick prayer. It is not something that can wait until the weekend. It must become a constant engagement. With other relationships, we must wait to be in the physical presence of that person. But with our Lord, we can and should be with Him all day long. God is Spirit. Pray that we learn of that Spirit, meet Him, and walk with Him in spirit too.
Dear Lord, draw us so close that we begin to see with eyes for spiritual things. Let us grow so tuned to You that You can share with us Your wonders. Shift our interests from earthly things to the things that are in Your heart. We are tired of seeing as the world sees and focusing on our ways. Awaken us to the joys and discoveries of a walk with the God we cannot see. Amen
