How to Step Out in Faith

We can step out in faith, trusting God to guide our steps. But only if we are walking close to Him.

Some may wonder how we can step out in faith when we cannot see a clear path before us. The dilemma is one every believer will surely come to, and quite possibly every day. Yet the problems and the difficulties lose their weight where God is. We will be tempted to see our limitations and waver. But if we walk with our Savior, we do not have to look at ourselves. This is the blessed assurance. We walk with the Son of God. We are headed in a different direction than the rest. Both our destination and our traveling partner are not from this world. So what we face on this journey is of little consequence.

The follower who walks closely with the Lord does not need to have all the details. Just edge in closer to Christ. Let Jesus fill our vision. Where God´s presence is, our hearts can rest assured. All will work out for good. We can learn to leave the knowing and the worrying up to the Lord. So stay near. If we must worry, worry about growing closer to Him. All will be well by His side!

Dear Lord, this world is treacherous and deadly. There are many decisions to make and many turns in the road. But, if we can walk closely with You and stay by Your side, we know we will make it home to our Father. So let us lean on You as we follow. Take us where You will. Just let us know You are near; we pray. Amen
