Believe in Spirit

Talk of ghosts and spirits may sound outdated in the light of modern science. But people embraced it up until a few generations ago. We tend to swing too far in the other direction when we realize we have misunderstood nature. While we still haven´t figured out how to get the right handle on the subject, our God has encouraged us to believe.

The Bible tries to elevate our horizons and is full of encounters and engagements. God Himself has reached out to us and tries to guide us into a relationship with Him. Scriptures and the Savior also teach us of both good and bad angels. The eternal realms where our Heavenly Father lives are not like the world He created for us here on Earth.

Then Christ came to tell us He would send us a Counselor. The Holy Spirit is not something to joke about. He is God who can move in and take up residence within us. This Great Spirit is essential. Let no one downplay the Spirit of God. If we can sense deep within us that He is calling, strain to hear. Should the Holy Spirit stir in our hearts, go with Him wherever He leads. We may not see into the misty realms, but we have the promises to give us hope. Step where few dare to step. Seek the One who would take us by the hand and lead us. The Spirit will surely take us to our Lord. Just give Him the chance.

Dear Lord, where our earthly eyes and attention do not let us imagine, be there. Move, stir, and draw us closer. Guide us we pray closer to truth and closer to You. Lift our understandings so we can learn of You and Your ways. Keep Your Kingdom before us and Your open arms to focus on. Lead us into a relationship with the Divine that will blow us away. Amen
