Even Christians need to learn that being a Christian comes from being with Christ. It does not come from any of the other things we try to make of it. Walking closely with Him and having His Spirit pouring into us sets us apart. But that is because His love and His higher gaze are transforming us. His presence in our lives overshadows the lesser things of this life. That is a thrilling and most pleasant exchange! Let go of us and throw ourselves into His embrace! He is worth it!
Dear Lord, please remind us every day of what is truly important. Let us think of You before focusing on ourselves, our lives, or our agendas. Thrill us with Your presence so that it is You we live for. Set our sights that high—as high as Heaven. We want to be with You, now and always! Amen
