The Better Prayer

If we have Christ, we have everything we need. The statement does not give us everything in this world. It gives us access to the One who is above all we see here. Everything in this world can come or go, even life itself. When we walk with God, His power and providence determine the outcome. He is what matters. Step by step we draw ever closer.

We need a guide who sees what we don’t. We need hope, a Savior, One who cares. Jesus will lead us where God wants us to be. Let us follow Him. Pray for the Spirit of God to increase in us today.

Dear Lord, while we have the choice, let us choose You. Instead of all else we could pray for, give us an extra dose of Your Spirit. Fill us, flood us! Overflow our souls with Your presence until we are more You than we are of our former selves. In Jesus´ name, we pray. Amen
