Praying TO God

We often throw our prayers or praises up into space as if God were not right here with us. This is unfortunate because He is not miles or galaxies away. Disbelief makes us read our situation wrong. Only distance in our relationship separates our souls from our God. He is near. We simply fail to realize it. He is here, keeping our hearts beating and filling our lungs with air.

Pray that our walk with Christ grows until we spend each moment of every day in His presence!

Dear Lord, ever since you created man, You have been trying to get our attention. A few have spent their lives walking each day through with You. Let us join that select group. Help us seek You, find You, and cling to Your side always. When the world tells us You are far, let us shut our ears to it, and be comforted. You have never left us. Reward our reaching hearts with awareness of Your presence, we pray. Amen
