God Cares for Each One

That mysterious gift of life keeps hearts beating for both the saved and the unsaved. God gives freely, hoping that some will realize His care and be grateful.

There is a special reward for those who wake up and see they are lost. The Lord is looking for souls that realize our need and will cling tightly to Him.

He leaves the 99 to search for the one who was lost. Finding that wandering soul, the Good Shepherd rejoices. We are the lost. We are specks of sand in a sea of humanity. Yet God cares for each one, as His teaching points out with stories of sheep and sparrows.

Look up in wonder. Let these cold hearts reach for Him. Then let us spend the rest of our days tightening that bond and coming to know Him, the One who has always cared for us.

Dear Lord, let us wake up to the fact that You have been searching our hearts, looking for ones who will come with You. Help us beyond the familiar teachings of our day. Show us that You are here now. You can save those who realize Your presence and have always wanted something better for us. Then sweep us into Your arms, where we will be close to You from then on. Amen

Luke 15:3-7 ESV / So he told them this parable: “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.’ Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.

Luke 12:6-7 ESV / Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows.

1 John 4:10 ESV / In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

1 John 4:19 ESV / We love because he first loved us.

John 3:16 ESV / “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
