God´s Love to Share

What God has sacrificed to show us His kind of love can lift and enhance all lesser forms of love.

A mother´s love for her children is one of the sweetest and most intense forms of love. Yet it doesn´t hold a candle to the size of love the Eternal One displayed by leaving His seat in Heaven. Christ came to us. He demonstrated God-sized love by paying His life as a ransom for our wayward souls.

If our hearts have been touched by the love God has showered upon us, we will be affected. It will stretch our own hearts to feel so loved. That glow, that burning ember inside, will find its way out. Others will notice. It will radiate to them. Then the amazing love of a mother can reach even more unimaginable heights. It will feed from eternal wells of grace.

Dear Lord, touch these cold hearts of ours. Open our understanding until we realize the love You have shown us. Even when we did not deserve it. You died so that we could return. Now let us feel Your warm embrace. Let it radiate as our hearts swell with the love we find there. Let those around us know that our love flows from You, we pray. Amen
