What to Do When Enlightenment Comes

We will want to run off to tell the world about each new revelation of truth. But before we do, let it work its intended magic within our lives and souls.

God does nothing frivolous or unplanned. We often charge off to change the world with our new notions of faith. But to become a participant in God’s movement, it is vital that we grow in Him. He is the Vine. All that we see and do must flow directly from Him. This can only happen through our relationship with the Lord. It must become so strong, tight, and close that it is His movement, not ours. The point is in the direction in which we look. Look to God, and insist on His presence in and with us, and we are progressing. Look to ourselves or our self-imposed duties, and we are NOT heading in the right direction.

Yes, God is moving. Yes, we are called to be a big part of His plans. So pray for followers who will step out and seek our Savior before all else. Let’s pray for believers who have gone the extra mile to come to know and walk each step with the One we love.

Dear Lord, thank You for bringing us discoveries of Your presence and wonders. But let us use our insight to bring us more fully unto You. Then, as our walk deepens and strengthens, let all those around us recognize that You are here. If others can see You are with us, then they will want to know You too. Amen
