Effective Witnessing of God

Effective witnessing begins long before a Christian ever opens their mouth. People can tell if something is going on between us and God.

Too many Christians charge off into the world to boast of their faith before the Spirit has entered them. Christ charged His disciples to stay in until it happened to them. Why should things be different for us?

The Holy Spirit would be evident if more people were stricken by their need to be with Jesus. We would stoop to help the needy and demonstrate God’s presence in our day.

Dear Lord, move in us. Move into our hearts and take up shop. Throw out anything that hinders our faith or keeps us from exuding You. Then, when our attention is where it belongs with You, let those around us see. Amen

1 Corinthians 3:7 / WEB / So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.

Acts 1:4 / WEB / Being assembled together with them, he commanded them, “Don’t depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which you heard from me.

Acts 1:8 ESV / But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

1 Corinthians 2:4-5 ESV / And my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

2 Corinthians 3:5-6 ESV / Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God, who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

John 14:26 ESV / But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

Romans 8:26 ESV / Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
