What Religion Should Be

The times have changed, and as usual, humans close God out of view. We focus on our world, our ways, and our interpretations. Religion should be where we stop doing all that and look to another power, intelligence, and personality. That is where God and man meet. We open ourselves to things unseen, unknown to us, and not yet imagined. The realms where our Creator lives are places we have no idea how to navigate. We need a guide. If He were human, He would have to be much more than a normal human. He would have had to have come from above and know the things of that place. That place might not even be a physical place, as we created beings are used to. But hey, that is why we look above ourselves.

Let us take the opportunity that today brings. Let us look beyond ourselves, our world, and our preconceived ideas. Let´s open our hearts heavenward. Where our beings reach their outermost limits, let us reach for the Spirit. When the Most Holy sees that we would engage with Him, then our religion can take on a whole new level. We will not be held back by routine, shallow notions, or frail sight. God Himself can lead us into an awareness of His presence. Nothing will be the same again!

John 4:24 ESV / God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”

John 14:26 ESV / But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

John 6:63 ESV / It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.

John 15:26 ESV /“But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me.

Romans 8:9 ESV / You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.
