Could we be forgetting what is for our everlasting good?  Do we choose far too often to let our attention stray to the enticing world around us?  Shall we seek again to place God on His rightful throne in our hearts and in our lives?

How unbroken is our communion between our hearts and that of our Lord?  Could we pray that our relationship with Jesus takes on a deeper and more intense turn starting today?

We who place so much on our earthly lives today must have forgotten that God is calling us to live for something else.  Shall we pray for forgiveness, a change of heart and a new hope for living a life with our Lord on High?

Are we letting ourselves be moved by the Holy Spirit?  Are we moved by what we know of God?  If we let ourselves be surprised, overwhelmed, and undone, could the Lord stir us once again with His love and His power?

Would we come after Jesus Christ?  Will we deny ourselves?  Will we take up our own heavy cross and follow Him? Will we start today?  Heaven is waiting for a few that will still take the Savior seriously.  Shall we pray that it will be us?

Do we remember why we became Christians?  Was it to make ourselves bigger, better, or more important?  Or was it because we knew we needed a Savior and that we wanted to come to know God personally?   Shall we seek to get back again to those humble beginnings?

What if we could really put God first?  What if we could try once more?  Could we muster up a little faith and determination still today?
