At God´s Right Hand

At God´s Right Hand

‘For David did not ascend to heaven, and yet he said, ” ‘The Lord  said to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.” ‘  Acts 2:34-35 (NIV)

We cannot see into the magnitude and wonder which Is our God.  We cannot see beyond our frail societies and our frivolous distractions.  But way, way up there in the realms of glory dwells our God.  He is enshrouded in Righteousness and Light unimaginable.  We can only see some of the work of His hands.  We hurt ourselves when we try to gaze into even one of the tiniest stars He created and only one in our immense solar system.

But God has made great effort to communicate certain things to us.  One is the revelation of His Son.  Jesus is God´s great demonstration of Love and goodwill towards us.  The next revelation is that the Almighty wants us to be together with Him.  The whole history of our race as described to us in the Bible points this out.  Christ is given to make it happen.  He is faithful.  He works hard.  He paid the ultimate price.  Now God has placed Him at His side.  There is no place anywhere that Jesus could be more effective.  By God´s side is where things happen.  There is where we should all esteem to be!  Should we thank the Lord that this is where Jesus is now?  Could we ask our Saviour to use His privileged position to work on our behalf?

Dear Jesus,

We bow to You today.  Please see our humble faith and pour out God´s Spirit from His Presence upon us now!  Send the Lord´s Power from above to help us come unto You we pray!

Amen
