Will Be Told

will-be-told

“I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied. “Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.  “Acts 9:6 (NIV)

Jesus takes this moment to direct His new follower.  He tells him to react to his newfound connection to Christ.  He tells him to go and wait until he will be instructed further.  Saul gets the message and his heart shows the world that he follows his Master´s will.  How do we take our instruction from the Lord?  Do we hear it?  Are we like this pillar of faith?  Or have we learned to overlook the part where Jesus tells us that we will be told?

Many fervent believers today determinedly strike out each day in a gallant effort to do what they think they should do for the Lord.  But how many of those who do, are going through with the rest of Jesus´ instruction?  How many of us are experts in attentively waiting for none other than the Voice of God?  How many of us are even actively listening for Jesus to tell us about what, where and how we should place our efforts into?  Could we imitate the hero of our story?  Could we become pillars of faith too?  Could we learn to expect, to listen for, and to experience each day that we will be told directly from our Lord Jesus Christ?

Dear Jesus,

We know we are not good at listening for You.  But You can do all things.  Please change us!  Make us into servants who embrace the fact that You will engage with us today!  Let us live daily this experience of hearing from You!  Help us live each day precisely what we will be told personally by You!

Amen
