Not Seen By All

not-seen-by-all

He was not seen by all the people, but by witnesses whom God had already chosen–by us who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.  Acts 10:41 NIV

Some things change with time.  Other things don´t.  The risen Savior was seen by some.  Nowadays there are some who come to know Him.  We all love to think we are special in God´s eyes and we are.  But the spiritual blessings the Bible offers us are only for those who care enough about them and about the Giver to be worthy recipients.  A witness is someone who has experienced something for themselves.  It is not a person who heard, read or captured a concept.  The Bible has this dividing line.  Those God chooses, those who eat and drink with His Son, and those who don´t.  Do we know which side of this line we sit on?

There are even people that attend church who do not really care to see.  There are many who pray to God regularly but just don´t take Him seriously enough to make Him our All.  There are too many of us who will one day be surprised to find we were not sufficiently moved to go out and seek the Gifts and the Presence of God in us!  Oh how tragic!  How eternally sad it is that our Lord will not be seen by all!  Shall we kneel and pray that we will finally see now?

Dear Lord,

The best that could ever happen to us humans would be to see You!  The highest honor we could achieve would be to have You given to us!  Please make us worthy!  Drive us hard after You!  Move us because You will not be seen by all!  Open our hearts and open our eyes now to see we pray!

Amen
