God Not Without Testimony

God-not-without-testimony

Yet he has not left himself without testimony: He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons; he provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy.”  Acts 14:17  (NIV)

Even to the unbeliever God shows His kindness.  Even those who spout horrible things about God and try to spoil His name are allowed the privilege of air to breath, a heart that beats and a life to live.  Try as man will, we cannot disprove God.  Life is a gift.  Maintaining life is a gift of compassion to a race that doesn´t deserve it.  The sacrifice of the Son of God for us all is nothing short of amazing.  Joy in the heart of anyone is a blessing whether we think we deserve it or not!  Is our life a testimony to Him?

The Christian is the one who takes hold of God´s claims of love and care.  We may be tempted to feel bad or dispute when others refuse to see all that God does for them.  But to allow ourselves to be brought down even slightly by their cold hearts would be a crime.  God is not without testimony.  He never has been and He never will.  So shall we start living now as the very testimony of His love?  Shall we praise His Holy Name!  Shall we share His love, His Word and His Son with all we are, with all we do, and with all we say?  Shall we be living testimonies of the grace we have found?

Dear Lord,

Thank You for never removing Your love from us whether we deserve it or not!  Teach us today to live out our response to the love You have shown us and not leave You without testimony in us!

Amen
