Healing Hands

Healing Hands

His father was sick in bed, suffering from fever and dysentery. Paul went in to see him and, after prayer, placed his hands on him and healed him.  Acts 28:8  (NIV)

Time and time again we read in the Bible of a person suffering and then through the power of prayer and with the hand of God they are healed.  Years may pass but the principal does not change.  Those who place their faith in God have this hope.  Have we seen our Lord at work?  Have we experienced any miraculous answers to prayer?  Do we know of others who have been blessed by the healing hand of Jesus?  If our faith is real, if we know how to place ourselves before God, then what could possibly keep us from receiving great healing for our souls today?

Nearly every Christian across the planet will eagerly confirm that we have access to the throne of grace.  God forgives endless amounts of insufficiency on our side to display His love and His wishes for us to be well with Him.  But do we forget too easily?  Do we move past our ailments too quickly?  Do we not realize that our good health is not so that we can rush back to our busy lives?  Can we see that God´s healing hand is to bring us surely, safely and truly together in the healthiest relationship possible to mankind?  Shall we pray for His restoring hand to bring us to Him today?

Dear Lord,

May Your glory be displayed!  May Your healing hand come to Your beloved!  But let all who are blessed to see Your mercy come surely unto You!  Let us receive healing that draws us into the closest of relationships with You we pray!

Amen
