Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, Romans 8:1 NIV
Christians may latch on to certain Bible texts that hold for us an immeasurable treasure. The text which states that there is now no condemnation for us must rank amongst the sweetest texts in all the Scriptures. The person who cares about how they will stand one day before the all-seeing eyes of God will certainly cling to the promise that IN Christ we will not be condemned. Christ´s atonement is offered freely unto all. But is there still a very crucial condition to be met before the jubilant believer is covered by this most precious promise? Should we know what it means to be IN Christ before we can stand IN the Presence of God?
The Word is IN Christ! Salvation is IN Christ! We are to be found IN Christ! This small word IN, may have few letters, but all eternity hangs on its significance. Many care not to seek out its meaning for them. Their fate and ours, lies in finding the depth and importance of what it means to be found IN Christ. The word IN describes a deeper bond than even the word WITH. If we want the promise to apply to us and if we want to stand forever with Jesus, should we make all haste, and do what it takes today to find out for ourselves what it means and how we can be IN Christ?
Thank You for the opportunity to be so deeply united with You that we are found IN You! Show us now all that it can mean for eternity to be so IN You that Your Spirit lives IN us! Draw us that close IN a relationship with You now we pray!
