On Our Side

On Our Side

Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died–more than that, who was raised to life–is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.  Romans 8:34  NIV

The Christian can be completely confident.  The promises we cling so dearly to are made by the most reputable Source.  The Promises of God come from the Source of all that exists.  What could possibly be surer than the Creator of all things?  Debate will always be present in the hearts of those who will not embrace the Lord´s gestures towards mankind.  But it is just this difference which separates the true Christian from the world around us.  We look above ourselves and to God.  We set our hope in the very Son of God.  The world can hurl their stones at us.  Sin would try to overcome us.  But the ones, who care, can look beyond all that confronts us.  We have the promises.  Do we know the One Who is on our side?

As long as we walk on this earth, our souls may remain in a state of change.  We are in the process of converting from what we once were and into pure and righteous souls worthy of standing in the Presence of God.  To achieve this, God gives us His Son.  Those found together with Christ, have Jesus on our side.  How close are we standing or walking with the only One we need on our side?

Dear Lord,

Thank You for calling us, planning for us, and for redeeming us!  Thank You for wanting to have us back in Your arms.  Thank You for giving us hope and for being on our side!

Amen
