Who Calls

Who Call

For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile–the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him,  Romans 10:12  NIV

It may surprise us.  It surprised the Jews.  It surprised the Disciples.  It has surprised nearly every single person who has ever chosen to tread in the footsteps after our Lord Jesus Christ.  But the truth is that there is no difference between people.  There is no difference of race.  There is no preference for one religion over another.  God looks with eyes that see what we do not.  Children are children whether He is happy about their decisions or not.  What can be different is how we react to God.  The child who is distant is hard to have anything to do with.  But the child who calls… that is the deciding factor.  Do we truly call on our Lord?  Or do we just call?

We may call ourselves Christians.  We may call out for God to help us, bless us, or to take away our strife.  But who are those children who are calling on their Lord with the heart of a child?  Who of us are adjusting our lives to make room for, and time for God?  Are we calling in on our dear Friend often?  Are we popping over to call on our Father?  Do we call with the things we face?  Do we call because we miss the Lord whenever we are separated for even a few moments?  God blesses those who call on Him by giving them His blessing and His Presence.  Shall we be the ones who call on Him now?

Dear Lord,

Teach us to call on You for    EVERYTHING!  Show us how to be the kind of children who truly call on You now we pray!
