And Isaiah boldly says, “I was found by those who did not seek me; I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me.” Romans 10:20 NIV
Every child of God everywhere should sense a joy uncontrollable welling up from within them. It should be our great pleasure to watch as others recognize their own need for a Savior. We should be pleased beyond words to see lost souls find themselves in God. We ourselves had no reason to boast. We too were chosen out of the many nations. Any believer that finally turns from seeking their own way and works along with the Holy Spirit becomes our brother or sister in Christ. We can rejoice in God because His gestures of love and grace have found their effect inside these hearts. Do we praise the Lord for sharing Himself even with those as undeserving as us?
Far too often we change the objective from people coming to know the Lord, and we place the importance upon joining our interpretation of religion. Doctrines can help if and when people are brought surely unto God. But excluding others is not like our Savior or our God. People may choose to belittle God. But our job is to love them. Shall we pray that we follow in the footsteps of Jesus? Shall we ask that we learn to be like Him? Shall we ask the Spirit to open our hearts? Shall we embrace even those strangers who may come to know the Lord and finally seek God?
Let us learn how to love as You do. Fill us with Your Spirit so we can love even those who need You as much as us we pray!
