Judging Someone

Judging Someone

Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.  Romans 14:4  NIV

The one who´s faith permits them to eat more can´t understand the one who eats only vegetables.  The vegetarian can´t see how the other could be so unrefined.  But the spiritually-guided man of God gives good advice.  Our concerns should be above trivial matters. Jesus died for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike.  God is not seeking people who focus on food.  He wants hearts that want Him!  Can we tell when we are being distracted from where God is moving in people´s hearts?

All those who would give their hearts to Jesus, should follow through to see that it really happens.  We must learn to forfeit any right to ownership.  We may possess every Gift God promises, but only as long as the gifts tie us unto Him.  Every possession remains with our Master even though while we are with Him we may enjoy them to the full.  We must really try to learn not to judge our brothers and sisters.  Our highest honor lies in being a servant of our King, and theirs is too!  If we feel the need to weigh someone´s faith, let us pray we don´t judge someone else, but rather test our faith and where our interests lie.  Could we be thinking with our stomachs instead of worrying about where we stand with the Lord?

Dear Lord,

Lift our interests right up to You!  Do not leave us fussing over what someone eats or doesn´t eat.  Give us victory over our discriminations.  Free us to fix our gaze on You we pray!

Amen
