I ask you to receive her in the Lord in a way worthy of the saints and to give her any help she may need from you, for she has been a great help to many people, including me.    Romans 16:21  NIV

Our call to step out of the world and step in behind our Lord and Savior is this.  We are to receive one another with a God-like warmth that builds people up in faith.  The way we take others into our hearts should reflect the way God has taken us into His great heart even when we deserved it the least.  We may gladly embrace a person when we agree with their beliefs or approve of their actions.  But what about people we don´t know very well or that may be considered sinners?  How do we receive them?

To call ourselves Christian we should be reflections of Christ.  To use His name to describe us, we should have His compassion for God´s children.  When the Bible or Apostle reminds us to receive others in a way worthy of the saints, we cannot just skip past the thought without stopping to check ourselves.  How are our actions proving that we truly do belong to Jesus?  How is the way we are receiving others demonstrating that we are walking daily with our Lord?  Shall we pause often and pray fervently that we may receive every possible child of God´s in a way worthy of the saints?

Dear Lord,

Fill us to perfusion with Your love!  Let us be so accustomed to being in Your Presence that Your love flow through us and out to all those around!  Help us receive others as You would we pray!
