Know What?

Know What?

So it is with you. Unless you speak intelligible words with your tongue, how will anyone know what you are saying? You will just be speaking into the air.  1st Corinthians 14:9

In Japan on a business trip, the host company felt the need to entertain a man one evening.  He was taken to one of the finest restaurants with the executives.  The Director was a pleasant and wanted to share his company and pleasantries, but there was a great problem with the language.  The American knew no Japanese, and only the interpreter knew English.  The dinner was enjoyable but all thanks to the one who was there with the correct words and way to say them.  Could it be the same in our current situations in life?

God´s Spirit flowing in men and women causes them to utter things.  This is an exhilarating expression of the Presence of the Lord, but if there is no one to understand those words, then only the one touched by God is blessed.  We are encouraged to seek every gift that comes from above, but in resemblance to our Savior, we should be seeking to edify, share with and direct others along with ourselves and with what we are given.  Shall we pray that we know what words God wants us to share?  Shall we ask that we know What, and Who we will talk about?  Can we ask the Lord what would serve to share Him with someone besides just ourselves?

Dear Lord,

We are so privileged to let our faith soar up into You!  Please help us know what we can give to others of You, we pray!

Amen
