For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth. 2nd Corinthians 13:8 NIV
It was a religious school. One teacher cared for the children in her class and her love was well received by her students. But her bosses were not happy. They wanted her to join their denomination. They wanted her to go through the same rituals that they performed. This would not have been a problem, except that they were not exactly honest or kind to people. This made her doubt their theology and their concept of truth. When they pressured her to become one of them and like them, she could not see that what they believed made them better people. All she could do was ask what the truth really is. Do we preach the Truth or just something we like to call the truth?
The Bible teaches us of a truth unlike any truth of this world. It points us to the Son of God and His Spirit. (John 14:6, 8:32, 17:17) If we want to know the truth, then we must come to Him! If we want to have truth in us or claim to have it in any degree, then we must know Him personally. We must live in His teachings and share in His love. We must show that His Spirit has spread into us by our walking so closely with Him. If we find it difficult to love, we stand far from the Truth, no matter how much theoretic knowledge we may hold. Shall we seek Jesus now? Shall we ask to be so filled with Him, and His love that the Truth is seen in us?
Let us come to know the Truth in You! Let us walk so close to You, that Your Truth and love are available to all, we pray!
