God With Us

God With Us

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.  2nd Corinthians 13:14  NIV

Reading his devotions one morning a man began to reflect upon the past and the path his life had taken.  He remembered his childhood days and how he knelt to pray to God.  He remembered going to church with his family but then how he had left all that and went out to make it on his own.  He remembered the years he wandered trying to find another church family again but had failed.  He remembered how a still small voice had constantly called him back to Jesus.  All these years later, with time and distance separating him and his past, he realized that throughout his searching, Christ had always been there.  God still loved him.  The Holy Spirit continued to invite him to come.  Where are we in our walk with the Lord today?

Now is the time for each of us to take stock in what we have gained.  Where are we in relation to our God?  How much of Jesus is in our day?  Are we still hungry for more of the Lord?  Do we seek the Holy Spirit with an increasing intensity?  God has never abandoned us.  Shall we seek Him now with a fervor that will gain us an eternity to spend getting to know the Lord more?

Dear Lord,

May we hear today the voice of our Lord and Savior!  May we realize and bask in Your love!  May we live each moment of every day just for the fellowship we find with Your Spirit!  And may we stay right with You forever, we pray!
