The Full Armor of God

The Full Armor of God

Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.  Ephesians 6:11  NIV

She was a remarkable woman.  She had suffered a painful divorce that left her caring for her two small children.  She lost her house too.  To find a new start she went to stay in another country.  There, little by little, she built up a business.  Today it is one of the pillars of the community.  The business she made by hours and years of hard work could have left her proud of herself.  But right when things were going their best and her troubles were far behind her, she began to suffer pain in her legs.  She would have to go through operations and slow rehabilitation.  How could she arm herself against all that pain?  How can we?

God can more than help us through our painful situations.  He has designed us for and called us to an abundant life His Presence!  We can have His unlimited wisdom, strength, and providence to aid us on our journey to His side.  Jesus was sent for this very purpose.  The Holy Spirit is ready to be poured out.  No evil can match up to all that can be on our side.  We can clothe ourselves in the full armor of God.  How?  Well, each piece must be deliberately sought.  Every blessed shield has to be fitted personally with Divine help.  Shall we work along with the Lord today?  Could we pray for the Lord´s assistance in putting on all that we can of God to assure us of coming safely through it all and unto Him?

Dear Lord,

Assist us in coming to You to be fitted with all the armor that being in Your Presence will bring us, we pray!

Amen
