And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 NIV
It was a remote cove in Mexico with an offshore break. But the waves were too big. His lack of experience was going to kill him. Every time he surfaced, another giant wave swirled him under again. He needed to get out. To do that, he needed his surfboard. He had leaped out onto the water from the rocks. And if he wanted to get out safely, he would need to ride the waves high enough on the boulders that the next wave would not pound him to death on the rocky beach. Just then another massive wave swept over him. The leg-strap broke that kept him from losing his board in the swirling torrent. In desperation, he thrust out his hand in the direction it had been pulling. Miraculously his hand closed on the end of the rope. Once safely out of the water, he threw himself down on a rock to pray. He thanked God for saving his life. Is there a way God may need to supply exactly what we need today?
The foolish surfer is convinced that the Lord performed a miracle to save his life that day. We do not need to place ourselves in harm´s way to find ourselves depending on the providence and care of our God. He will meet all our true needs and He does each day! Could we thank God now for continually saving us from the turmoil of life which would sweep us under as well?
Thank You for holding us up and giving us all we really need in Christ our Savior, we pray!
