Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all. Colossians 3:11 NIV
Landing at a small airport in a central African country, two pilots found that there was going to be a wedding that evening. The people who kindly offered to let them stay with them invited them to accompany them to the festivities. It turned out to be a Greek wedding. It was beautiful. There were flowers, rituals, and prayers. The visitors that were just passing through were from a different Christian denomination. Most of the ceremony was strange to them. But, Christ was still an intricate part in it all. For Christians, Jesus is always in it all. Should we also learn that He Is all?
There are so many differences in religious practice and belief. There is a world of variety in services and theology. But true Christianity is not about those variables. It is about Christ! A true Christian, wherever they are found is a person concerned with Jesus. Christ is all for them! They are all for Him! The true believer is not the one who can recite more Scripture or dispute heavy doctrines. Here we are simply humans who turn to, look for, walk with, and lift up the Lord. Could we pray that God will help us lift our eyes and hearts higher than anything less? Shall we ask that Jesus can come into us and be for us our All?
Help us to be so in love with You, that our thoughts, our hearts, and our attention are all wrapped up in You, we pray!
