Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. Colossians 3:13 NIV
His friends burned him bad. They had entered a business venture together, but he had carried the financial responsibility. They begged him to keep them out of the taxes and gladly signed a paper to say that they would pay if need be. Then they made an agreement with the client and after the first year, they cut the man right out of the deal. When the government looked into the taxes, the government ruled that the company would have to pay and so the man had to pay it off as best he could. He had been betrayed by his friends, ruined in business, and left with a huge debt. How could he ever forgive his friends for being so cruel?
This is just what the Christian is all about. We are to love others as Christ loved us. We are to forgive even when we have been wronged. We are to walk in our Savior´s footsteps. We are to follow faithfully even if we must carry a cross. We should lift our eyes above the pain and place them of Jesus. We must keep moving forward in love. Our friend forgave his friends and later went to work for them. We may have to swallow pride and overlook our injuries, but we have the greatest example to follow. Shall we ask the Lord that we learn to forgive as He forgave us?
Give us a heart after Yours! Let us love others and forgive them as You do with us every time we let You down, we pray!
