There are many things that we can and will do today, but one thing stands far above them all. If we seek the presence of God with all sincerity and then go on to pursue a genuine encounter with Him, we have invested in our relationship with Him. This world can get hectic. It has been deviously programmed to rob us of any real dealings with our Lord. However, we can reverse that. We can step out of the parade. We can get to what is real. The world will tell you that it is real while it spins out of control in all the wrong directions. Yet we can turn to God. We can seek Him with a passion. We can grow closer to Him than any of our earthly relationships could ever match. We can grow so close that the Spirit of God can live and move in us! Let us invest in that closeness now! It will have everlasting results!
