There is something special about water. Anywhere you go around the world, people go in search of it. Whole countries flock to beaches in the few days they take for their holiday. Real estate prices rise the better the view the land holds at the sight of it.
What is so special about water? It takes us to a special place. It holds life-giving qualities. But there is something more, something mysterious, something glorious. The presence of God weaves into this intricate part of His creation. It whispers of His glory. It thunders its praise. If the surface is still, every reflection, color, or ripple will sound out the wonders of our God. If the depths mount in raging turmoil, their thunder will roar of His power and might.
Those who read what they can of our Lord from the waters of our lives harvest endless blessings. We can receive treasures untold. Just let our hearts contemplate the wonder of our God over the water. And we will also well up with praise and adoration.
Yahweh’s voice is on the waters. The God of glory thunders, even Yahweh on many waters. Psalm 29:4 (WEB)
