The Scriptures give us hope. We could be the ones. But, the promise does not include everyone who tries to claim the reward. We can be the chosen people of God. It is true. He has long been looking for those special children who will look to Him. He has been yearning for those pure, humble souls that seek Him.
Yet this does not mean that He is looking for the experts in the law. It does not mean we must match the great doctrinal giants of our times. It means that the simplest of hearts can be the special ones. The ones who are childlike will look away from themselves in trust. It is the broken-hearted that know they need a Savior. It could be us. We can be the ones who stop all the pretending and actually look to Him. Christ will save us, but He will only save those who really want God to come and live in their hearts. So let us pray that the God who sees into people´s hearts will find us gazing up to Him with all we got!
