The violent waves thrash the vessel to and fro. The sea is so rough that even the weathered sailors are tired and disheartened. Hopeful eyes search through sheets of spray. All their hope sets on spotting a comforting light. They look for some kind of promise that all will soon be well. They long for the safe harbor with every the force of their souls. If, we have never been there, we cannot fathom what it is like.
There was a boat out on the sea once. Those fishermen lived through the experience. They saw a light that can also shine for us today. We could see The Light too. But first, we must get it into our hearts to look for Him. Yet, if we turn to the Son of God, He could illuminate our lives today.
Dear Lord, amid these storms and churning waters, we need hope. Please shine Your Light. Pierce our darkness. Let us find our hope in You. Come, be with us. Let us take comfort from Your presence. Let us be near You where it is safe, we pray.
