When it happens to you, you will know. God breaks through the barriers that hide Him from our view at times. In these instants, we witness His mighty hands at work. He performs a miracle or makes His presence felt. It is overwhelming. Powerful displays of God´s presence are thrilling for everyday people like us. It is hard to contain ourselves in those times. We will want to clap our hands in excitement or shout His praises.
We could and should spend our lives seeking those moments of enlightenment. We can go out of our way to look for His movement. We can search for His presence in the big and small things. The more we look for it, the greater our joy will be when He reveals His presence.
Common teaching these days calls Christians to invest in cleaning up our acts. Or we should refine our morals. Yet, just a single moment with souls exposed to the presence of God will do more than a lifetime of refining.
Christianity could take on a whole new look. If only we all were more interested in getting into the presence of the Divine. If all believers were to make it our mission, we could reach a state where we could experience the presence of God. Then our actions would reflect the significant change in us. We would glow like Moses from our own encounters with the Lord.
