Thinking Of God

When it happens to you, you will know. God breaks through the barriers that hide Him from our view at times. In these instants, we witness His mighty hands at work. He performs a miracle or makes His presence felt. One of the simplest yet purest forms of bliss comes from contemplating God´s love and care. We are blind to it at times. It only makes it sweeter when we become aware again and realize how much He feels for us.

Sometimes an understanding of God´s care comes to us when we gaze at a tiny baby. Its little fingers close over ours and tug on our hearts. Or maybe, we can feel His love when a sweet old grandmother squeezes us. Perhaps the thought of our loving God settles over us when we watch the setting sun. In wonder, we stare as His hands spread a magnificent display of colors and clouds. Whatever it is that jolts us and makes us wonder after the ways of God, we are sure to be undone.

We do not have to come from the better brand of Christianity. Nor do we need to subscribe to the trendier crowd. From the humblest beginnings of faith, we can gaze up in wonder. We can set our hearts on God. We can belong to a peculiar kind of people whose hearts go out to the unseen Wonder that Is our God! Blessed are those! And blessed are we when we go there too!
