Value

One of the enemy´s greatest deceptions has been to hide where true value lies. We fail to see what is worth most. This is because we are tempted to weigh value as things relate to us. God never intended for us to be so naive. Things hold value first as they relate to God. After that, value to us takes on weight as it connects us with the Lord. If something does not bring us to God or attach us to Him, whatever it is, it cannot be of worth. Let each of us pray that our eyes are opened. Pray that we learn to find true value and that it brings us closer to the Lord.

Dear Lord, help us overcome the temptation to overlook our tie to You. Whatever we give our attention to, make it bring us to You. Let our thoughts, our actions, and our hearts seek You and Your will. Let nothing steal our connection to You. Be the value we find today, and let all else bring us back to You, we pray. Amen
