That cozy feeling that we get thinking we are the saved of God might be a danger to our souls. Whatever keeps us from running to Christ and clinging to Him could be misleading. These times are not ones to let down our guard, no matter how convinced we are of our church’s doctrines. Nobody likes to think that they could be swooned into losing their place at the table. But the great deceiver is a deadly player at his own game. He would trick even the Lord´s children out of their inheritance if he could. And that is precisely his mission.
If we have religion, but there is room to grow our relationship with Christ, we are in danger. If we do what is right but are not aware of the presence of God, we are too far from Him. If we read our Bibles but listen to other people more than what God whispers, we have been tricked. If we say we love Jesus but focus more of our day on ourselves, this world has grown into our hearts. Pray for us all!
Dear Lord, we know that we live in dangerous times. If these days are not cut short, there will be none left who look to You. We will have our religions, our doctrines, our ways that we take to mean we are Yours. But we will be far from You in our hearts. Please, send Your Spirit to fill those You find willing to open themselves. Take us by the hand and draw us near again. Let us come so close in our walk with You that we will not lose our place by our Savior´s side. Amen

Revelation 7:1-17 ESV / After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, that no wind might blow on earth or sea or against any tree. Then I saw another angel ascending from the rising of the sun, with the seal of the living God, and he called with a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm earth and sea, saying, “Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, until we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.” And I heard the number of the sealed, 144,000, sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel: 12,000 from the tribe of Judah were sealed, 12,000 from the tribe of Reuben, 12,000 from the tribe of Gad,
