praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. Acts 2 47 (NIV)
They are happy! They are saved and they know it! They have come to believe in all that God is doing for them. God has blessed them with His Son. Jesus has paid for our sins. They know it and they love God for all the marvelous and wonderful things they are experiencing. Their love pours out to the community. They praise God. And the Lord adds to their numbers. Joy upon joy for the joyful worshippers!
Do we know we are saved? Do we realize each day that God is working wonders in and around us? Is it this joy which we are experiencing with God that lifts our hearts? Where do we get our pleasure from? Are we like the early church? Does our worship bubble over with joy as we come to know Christ more?
Could we stop often to check where we stand? If our hearts are truly reveling in the Lord, will it show? Shall we pray for the Lord to pour out His Spirit onto us and assure that He has joyful worshippers who are moved to praise Him still today?
Dear Lord
Draw us so close that we are filled with Your Spirit. Let our joy come from having You in our lives! Let the world see our happiness and rejoice with us. Grow up for You a community of believers that still finds our pleasure in worshipping You! Turn us into your joyful worshippers today we pray!
