We Too

Titus 3:3 We Too

At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another.  Titus 3:3  NIV

A man was sharing a story of when he converted to Christianity.  He said that his wife had started going to church and his daughter went with her.  But he was too involved in making money.  He said that he was arrogant, selfish, and sometimes cruel.  He got angry easily and always wanted things his way.  But after some time he started having breakfast once a week with the pastor.  Eventually, he was able to see that he was only hurting his family with his childish attitude and decided to change.  He apologized to his wife and daughter, started coming to church, and even got involved in a home for young women.  The only problem was that the person that he was telling his story to, could not see any change of character from what the man said he changed from.  Could we too need to check ourselves and see if God´s love is found in us?

Every Christian everywhere should carry a healthy dose of gratitude for what Christ has done for us.  But we should also remember that we too, the ones who have been saved, need Jesus with us always.  We too, need the heart of God throbbing in our chests.  We too, need the Holy Spirit in us moving us to God´s eternal purposes.  Shall we too, get on our knees and seek Him now?

Dear Lord,

Remind us often that we too need You with us, constantly changing us and saving us from ourselves, we pray!
