The Son

Hebrews 1:2 The Son

but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. Hebrews 1: NIV

The sun came up turning the sky into a spectacular masterpiece of brilliant colors. Its magnificent beauty took your breath away. A group of friends slipped on their wetsuits and stepped into the small stream. This was their first time canyoning. The stream disappeared immediately into a crack in the steep landscape. The rocks were polished smooth making a waterslide for the first drop. The only way to proceed was to sit in the water and slide. It plummeted them into a pool of water. From then on there was no other way out. They had to continue downstream, jumping or sliding into each pool, with no way to go back or climb out of the canyon. This was the only way to experience the amazing beauty of this part of the world. What is our universe like where we are?

God has reached through the barriers that separate Him from mankind. He did this by sending us His Son. By this Son, He formed us and our world.  By Jesus, He reconciled us to Him. We can wake up to the overwhelming beauty of being in the presence of the Lord. We can enjoy all the excitement of exploring the wonders of God. We can do all this and so much more if we choose to seek Christ in our lives. Shall we come to the Son today?

Dear Father in Heaven,

Give us Your Son! Give us our Savior! Let us experience Jesus in the most thrilling and spectacular way so that we are forever changed! Let Christ be our Way unto You, we pray!

Amen
