Every Eye Will See

Revelation 1:7 Every Eye Will See

Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, including those who pierced him. All the tribes of the earth will mourn over him. Even so, Amen.  Revelation 1:7

On a crowded beach onetime, a family took a walk in some tidal pools to see what they could find. The children were small and every little fish and every sea anemone was a delight to them. Each discovery was heralded by squeals of joy and laughter. Then the father saw something curious hiding under a rock. He called the family to come and to bring a bucket. When they all gathered around they still did not know what it was. So the dad moved the rock. An octopus the size a volleyball began to look for a new place to hide. The children could not believe their eyes. They scooped it up in the bucket and while the rest of the holiday-makers on the beach just sat in the sun, they marveled over this amazing creature. Can we imagine what other wonders our eyes may see?

Doubt will try to take away from us the hope we can have to see Christ coming on the clouds of glory. There are many who would steal this joy away from us. But if we let ourselves believe, then we really have something to look forward to. Our entire lives we can have a sensation mounting up inside our hearts like the feeling of a grand reunion with our dearest beloved Friend. Soon our loving Savior will break through the barriers that hold us from seeing Him face to face! It may take faith. It will not be easy as darkness will try to keep us from this hope. But our hearts can start racing already. Can you feel it?

Dear Lord,

Give us faith. Let us set our hopes on seeing Your face. Remind us of Your love and give us revelations of Your presence so that we become very anxious to see You, we pray!

Amen
