Her husband was an American but when a European lady came to live in the United States she had to file for a green card. The permit to live and work in the United States was not the easiest thing to attain. There were stacks of papers and documents that needed preparing. It was too much for the young couple to figure out in a timely fashion, so they contracted the services of another to make sure their savings did not run out before she was permitted to work in their new home. This service came with a fairly heavy cost. Once paid though, the process moved along speedily and soon they were able to live and work in the land. Do we realize that a price has been paid for us to come in and live with God?

Christ has paid a heavy price so that we may come and live with Him. He was the only one that was found worthy of restoring us to God after wandering each one to his or her own way. Yet now we have been purchased. We can return. We can be God´s children again. Our choice to walk alone and not seek to be near the Lord had been paid for. No longer are we without hope. We can approach the Throne of Grace because Jesus, the Lamb of God cared enough for us to buy permission for us. We will need to be found near Him. But, if we are then we can start a new and exciting life in the presence of the Divine. Does it sound good to us to let Christ be our advocate and be our host forever?
